Backup & Restore
Your ledger only lives on this phone. Back it up regularly so you never lose it if you switch phones or clear your browser.
"Send backup" opens your phone's share menu — pick Gmail to email it to yourself, or Drive to save it straight to your Google account. "Restore backup" can then open that same email attachment or Drive file to bring your ledger back.

Permanently erase every debt, payment, inventory item and transaction saved on this device. There is no undo — back up first if you're not certain.

Short version: your business data — every sale, purchase, customer and debt — lives only on this device. We never see it, store a copy of it, or sell it. The only two things that ever leave your phone are described below.
Your ledger stays on this device
Everything you enter — sales, purchases, customers, debts, payables, notes, your PIN — is stored locally in this browser, on this device only. We have no server copy and no way to see it. If you clear your browser data, uninstall the app, or switch phones without backing up first, that data is gone for good — we can't recover it for you, because we never had it.
Backups are yours to control
When you tap "Send backup," TradeBook builds a file of your data and hands it to your phone's own share menu — you choose where it goes (your email, your Google Drive, wherever). We don't receive a copy and don't host it anywhere ourselves.
What we do receive
Two things, and only these:
Trial & unlock verification. When you start a free trial or enter an unlock code, your device computes a short technical fingerprint (things like screen size and browser characteristics) purely to stop one device from claiming multiple free trials, then sends a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of it to our server to check. We can't reverse that hash to identify you, and it's never linked to your name, phone number, or ledger data.
Distributor list. To show you nearby code sellers, the app fetches a list of distributor names and WhatsApp numbers from our server. Nothing about you is sent to get that list.
WhatsApp buttons
Buttons labeled "Message" open WhatsApp with a pre-filled message — nothing is sent until you tap send inside WhatsApp yourself. Once you do, that conversation is between you and the recipient, governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy, not ours.
No ads, no analytics, no data sale
TradeBook runs no ads and no analytics or tracking scripts, and doesn't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone — because we don't have a copy of it to share in the first place.
About the PIN lock
The optional PIN lock is stored on your device to keep casual snoopers out of your ledger if someone else picks up your phone. Treat it like a phone passcode, not a bank vault — it's a convenience lock, not encryption.
Your control
You can back up, export, or permanently erase everything in TradeBook at any time from Settings → Security. Deleting the app or clearing your browser data also removes everything, permanently, on our end as much as yours — since, again, we never had a copy.
